Being a registered social worker for 20 years, and a certified clinical traumatologist, I have had the privilege of working extensively with individuals, children/adolescents, and families across many diverse communities, races, cultures, religions, and sexual orientations. In areas including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, postpartum depression/anxiety, family conflict, stress from life transitions, and trauma. A role in which I focus on empowerment, safety, healing, and self-realization. Having been in private practice since 2014, and primarily using components of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Informed therapy, I strive to provide highly skilled and individualized support that respects the dignity, diversity, autonomy, and worth of each person; to provide hope when feeling hopeless; to understand that trauma is very real, yet healing and growth are possible. Therapy is powerful tool and can be meaningful and long lasting.
